About Us
Farms Under Fire is an action committee comprised of farmers that want to help other farmers. Our passion is agriculture, and we know firsthand there are people that wish to exile AG producers- holding those people accountable ensures the future of your growing legacy and our industry.
Keely Haverland, Founder of Farms Under Fire
Farms Under Fire is the organization I needed when I was targeted and tricked by the local government. As a 3rd generation grower and turfgrass specialist with over 34 years in the same location, I fell perfectly into a trap set to end my family's growing legacy. Compliance was made out to be achievable, and I worked toward a goal that my attacker would make sure I never reached.
It was as if the local government struck a match just to watch me burn. Hindsight truly is 20/20, and the imposed adversity I faced lit an even bigger fire; this time, that fire was inside me. A fire to save agriculture, small & large businesses, and the hardworking families that sustain our nation.
The organization I needed exists now, and it's time to take action. - Keely Haverland, Founder- Farms Under Fire
Katie Rhineholz, Co-Founder & Owner of White Trail Flower Farm
FNGLA PB State Representative
In 2020, Katie's family farm was targeted & attacked by the local government. Officials knowingly breached state AG laws to start a war that they hoped would end a farming career & successful growing operation- Why? To free up a valuable land parcel to a higher-paying, hungry home developer. After many twists and turns and two and a half years of enduring forceful abuse tactics, their family was forever changed.
In a quest to ceasefire and save Agriculture across the entire US -Katie & her husband Matt now act as powerful advocates to those that find themselves facing similar adversity.
'Independently & together, we stand to save the industry, and we hope to help save other agricultural operators on the front lines of a war they didn't ask for. Offering support, advice & hard-earned knowledge swiftly to any farmer who can benefit is the only way these stories end happily. If you're facing a challenge, we should be your first phone call.' - Katie Rhineholz
'If you strike a match in hopes to end Agriculture, you may be the one that gets burned'
